We are planting 1,428,411 trees

At Affiliprint, every print campaign creates impact. We help brands reach the right people with the right message at the right moment. And because print relies on natural resources, we commit to restoring them. That’s why we’ve partnered with veritree to support verified ecosystem restoration projects worldwide. For every 1,000 printed inserts, one tree is planted. A clear connection between marketing performance and measurable environmental impact - backed by transparent data and a long-term commitment to regeneration.

Reforestation types

  • Agroforestry

Agroforestry combines trees, crops, and sometimes animals on the same piece of land to create productive and resilient ecosystems. By mimicking natural forest structures, these systems improve soil health, increase water retention, and diversify income sources for local farmers.

Examples include shade-grown coffee or fruit trees interplanted with staple crops, creating approaches that strengthen food security while restoring degraded land.

Why we're investing in Nature-Based Solutions

Our planet is dangerously close to critical ecological tipping points. Forests are under pressure, wildlife is disappearing, and weather patterns are becoming increasingly unpredictable. The effects of climate change are no longer distant — they are already part of everyday life.

At Affiliprint, we believe businesses have a role to play. Not only by reducing harm, but by actively supporting the recovery of nature where it matters most.

Together with our partners, we see this as a shared responsibility — and an opportunity to contribute to real progress. That’s why we work with Veritree to support nature-based solutions with measurable environmental and social impact.

By matching our tree-planting commitment, our partners help restore forests, strengthen ecosystems, and create lasting value for people and the planet.

Our Sustainability Story

Affiliprint, part of the Linehub Group, is a leading provider of high volume insert marketing in Europe. Our reach is significant, and so is our responsibility. Large scale production and distribution inevitably create environmental impact. We believe it is our role to address this openly and proactively. That is why sustainability is embedded in our corporate strategy. We continuously optimize our processes, reduce paper waste, and invest in verified ecosystem restoration projects. Our tree planting initiative is not a standalone effort. It is a long term commitment to responsible growth, guided by transparent reporting and measurable outcomes. Our agroforestry project in Senegal supports sustainable farming practices which rehabilitate degraded land, and prevent forests from being lost to peanut farm monocropping.

Environmental responsibility has long been part of how we operate at Affiliprint.

Over the years, we partnered with Eden: People + Planet, supporting landscape restoration, biodiversity protection, and economic opportunities for local communities worldwide.

These experiences shaped our approach to sustainability and reinforced our belief that environmental action belongs in everyday business.
With veritree, we are building on that foundation by adding greater transparency, measurable impact data, and new ways for our partners to actively contribute.

Our ambition remains clear: create meaningful impact and continuously improve how we measure and scale it.

Frequently Asked Questions

'Nature-Based Solutions' is a technical term that simply describes an action that results in either avoided deforestation or enhancing a carbon sink through reforestation or ecosystem restoration.

According to analysis by the World Economic Forum and McKinsey, Nature-Based Solutions are a cost-effective means to deliver up to one-third of the emissions reduction needed by 2030 as part of the net zero transition to achieve a 2-degree pathway.

Moreover, investment in Nature-Based Solutions, when done well, can accrue co-benefits that help address other societal challenges while being good for business, people, and nature. However, when done badly, the investment may do more harm than good.

veritree works with planting organizations across the globe to verify Nature-based Solutions (NbS) projects. They are initially launching the platform with planting projects in Canada, Kenya, Madagascar, United States, and Tanzania with plans to quickly expand to more sites in the coming months.

The veritree platform was built to be easily used by any restoration practitioner looking to develop and operate high-quality NbS projects. Their ground-level monitoring tools enable planting organizations in any location in the world to scale NbS. This enables veritree to connect planting organizations with corporate partners and donors to support their restoration initiatives.

veritree works closely with local communities to demonstrate the long-term value restored forests bring to their families. Through education and direct involvement in monitoring and reporting, local communities develop a sense of ownership over their trees, supporting effective, long-term forest stewardship.

Note: As with all nature-based restoration, not all trees are expected to remain in place throughout their full projected lifespan. Growth progress tracking is built into veritree's methodology to account for this. Survivability rates vary by ecosystem type, species, and region and are tracked at the site level.

veritree acknowledges that estimating carbon is complex and remains an evolving area of practice.

Current estimates draw on averages from a cross-section of academic studies. Key variables in veritree's estimation model include: species planted (including maturity age), forest type, region, and average tree survivability.

Where primary data are unavailable, veritree applies conservative secondary data, proxy data, or assumptions to avoid overestimating outcomes. veritree continues to build academic partnerships to improve its methodology over time.

Note: All carbon sequestration figures are indicative in nature. Given the current degree of uncertainty in measurement and calculation methods for nature-based carbon sinks, these totals should be treated as estimates rather than verified outcomes. These figures are independent of any third-party carbon neutral certification calculations.

veritree supports projects that are creating new impact rather than duplicating what would have occurred anyway, and that this impact is built to last.

veritree collaborates closely with corporate partners and local planting partners from project design through planting and beyond, working to ensure that new carbon sinks are created in areas and conditions where restoration would not otherwise have taken place.

To support permanence, veritree conducts on-the-ground monitoring. Long-term remote sensing tools, such as satellite imagery, are used to track forest growth and health.

While these measures are designed to give projects the best possible chance of lasting impact, it is important to note that permanence cannot be fully guaranteed in nature-based restoration. Ongoing monitoring is part of how veritree manages for this uncertainty.

Level 1 - The first level of verification is complete once planting planters have submitted their planting form, activities, and applicable evidence through veritree's Collect App.

Level 2 - During the second level of verification, planting site management (leads and supervisors) check the data and information submitted via a planting site review and data check.

Level 3 - The third and final level of verification is conducted by veritree. At this stage all submitted data and evidence is analyzed by their internal machine learning algorithms to check for accuracy.
